Function

Mission:

Reporting to the CRM Manager, the Production Manager plays a key role in supervising production activities. In collaboration with operational teams and internal stakeholders, he/she plays a central role in continuous improvement, while ensuring a safe and motivating working environment.

The Production Manager will also be responsible for increasing the operational efficiency indicator (OEE), and will act as back-up for the CRM Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Implement strategic objectives:
    • Transform global ambitions (growth, sustainability, innovation, profitability) into specific action plans for the production department.
    • Optimize resources and control costs
  • Production planning and supervision:
    • Ensure efficient planning of human and material resources to meet production targets.
    • Manage production line performance in terms of quality, deadlines and costs.
  • Develop operational excellence:
    • Propose and lead innovation projects to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of operations.
    • Deploy Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, etc.) to optimize our flows, reduce waste and continuously improve our processes.
  • Team management :
    • Supervise and motivate production teams to achieve set objectives.
    • Develop employee skills through training and personalized support.
  • Safety and compliance :
    • Ensure compliance with current safety standards and regulations.
    • Implement action plans to minimize operational risks.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
    • Work in synergy with Maintenance, Process, Quality and Logistics departments to ensure smooth operations.

Profile

Expertise:
- Master's degree in engineering, industrial management or equivalent field.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar position, ideally in the metallurgical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong project management and industrial process management skills.
- Proven experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP is an asset) and Lean methodologies.
