Function

Mission

As R&D Technician, you will report to the Senior Coating Expert. You support the researchers by carrying out the necessary analyses and characterizations in the R&D laboratory. You carry out routine tests and microscopic analyses.

You will be part of a team of 4 people operating the R&D laboratory dedicated to steel coatings and surfacing. This team carries out analyses that contribute to the development and improvement of our products, as well as to internal and external litigation.

Main responsibilities

• Samples preparation before their characterization.
• Realization of tests, characterizations and analyses according to the internal methods and/or international standards ISO - EN – ASTM. Strong focus on microscopic analyzes.
• Development and adaptation of characterization methods according to the needs and specificities of coatings in collaboration with the team leader.
• Planning of tests in function of the deadlines and equipment availability in coordination with the team leader.
• Results discussion, pre-interpretation and presentation to the ST Team.
• Redaction of Internal reports (R&D group).
• Daily maintenance of the Lab equipment and metrology.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Profile

Experience

• Bachelor/Master in chemistry / Material Sciences is a plus.
• Experience in analytical methods development and validation is a plus.
• Experience in an R&D lab is a plus.

• Good English reading comprehension.
• Motivated / Open minded / enthusiastic / passionate.
• Autonomous / Independent worker but team working oriented.
• Proactive / Take initiative.
• Be technically rigorous, curious, creative and innovative.
