Function

Mission

As Key Account Manager, you report to the Strip Automotive and downstream Sales Director. You work mainly for our Steel Center in Manage, but also for NLMK La Louvière. You manage automotive clients and develop your portfolio in France.

Main responsibilities

  • You develop the existing portfolio of clients and develop new industrial clients for the Business Unit Strip, creating the foundation for a long-term collaboration. You work with a target list you have defined, in concertation with other people in the business.
  • You very well understand the needs and create new opportunities with new customers.
  • You respond to and anticipate their expectations, in line with the group’s commercial strategy.
  • You work closely together with the technical sales people, and with the people in production, quality, etc.
  • You work closely together with colleagues in different departments.
  • You participate in trade fairs. You work with marketing and share information on competition and the market.
  • You follow up on your portfolio and budget, give regular updates and keep an eye on the market for opportunities to seize.

Profile

Background

  • You hold a master’s degree, or equivalent through experience.
  • You have a track record of technical product sales in an industrial environment and are familiar with the steel industry.
  • You have a strong level of French and English, knowledge of German or Dutch are a strong plus.

  • You are a strong influencer and networker, and know how to persuade (potential) clients.
  • You have a strong sense of team work and work with the colleagues on the best offerings for the clients.
  • You are very customer oriented and result driven.
  • You have a strong client focus and understand their objectives.
  • You are comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
  • You are organised and structured; proactive and entrepreneurial.
