Function

Mission

The Production Engineer manages continuous improvement projects for production and hot strip mill process. He/she reports to the Aear Production Manager of the quarto, coilbox and finisher.

Main Responsibilities

• Manages performance improvement projects of the area in close cooperation with the production teams and support teams. To do so, he/she:
  • Federates the different teams to bring improvement projects to fruition.
  • Monitors indicators (failure, process, etc.), analyzes deviations and organizes problem resolution.
  • Performs analyzes to formalize diagnosis.
  • Proposes and implement solutions based on the dianosis.
• Participates in the creation and improvement of standards and the training. To do so, he/she:
  • Leads working groups with operators and support services.
  • Ensures the transfer of new knowledge to the various production stakeholders in the form of standards (training, instructions, procedures, etc.).

Profile

Profile

• Master degree in civil or industrial engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• years of experience in industrial sector.

Skills

• Autonomy and tenacity.
• Listening and communication skills (with different departments and hierarchical levels).
• Field orientation and flexibility.
• Very good analytical skills (notably the ability to identify flaws and malfunctions in a system) and synthesis.
• Mastery of data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement or project management methods is a plus.
