Function

As General Ledger Accountant, you report to the General Ledger Accounting Manager. Your main mission will be to ensure all tasks related to general accounting for the Belgian and French companies of the NLMK group. Your main responsibilities are:

• participation in the monthly and annual closings;
• improvement of the reporting;
• improvement of the accounting processes and implementation of accounting policies;
• improvement of the monitoring of corporate overhead costs;
• management the daily operations in collaboration with the others departments;
• accounting and monitoring of payroll costs;
• ensuring the reliability of information;
• establish the Belgian and French VAT returns;
• follow-up with external consultants for foreign VAT returns;
• follow-up of legal statistics;
• balance sheet reconciliations;
• ensure the follow-up of taxes with the support of external consultants (Tax returns, etc.);
• preparation of the Belgian & French annual accounts ;
• facilitating contact with external people (Auditors, Tax Advisers, etc.);
• Others tasks linked to the GL accounting.

Profile

Education

• Bachelor of Accounting.

Background

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge in the BE Gaap Accounting. (in FR Gaap, it is a plus).
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge in SAP (AA-MM-FI, CO is a plus).
• Language : French & English.
• Experience in international accounting or in an audit company (Big4) is considered a plus.
