Function

Mission

As a High & Medium Voltage Network Manager at NLMK La Louviere, you will be responsible for the consistent monitoring and ensuring the operability of electrical installations, monitoring the operating modes of electrical installations, the availability, use and maintenance of technical documentation, operational and technological management of electrical installations, and also accounting, investigation and analysis of the causes of accidents, as well as taking measures to eliminate the causes of their occurrence.

Main responsibilities

  1. Organizing the development and maintenance of documentation on the organization of operation of electrical installations and its revision (updating).
  2. Organizing and ensuring work with personnel.
  3. Organizing the safe performance of all types of work in electrical installations, including with the participation of employees of organizations performing the functions of operational and (or) technical maintenance, repair, adjustment, testing of electrical installations owned by right of ownership or other legal basis to the consumer, and not on his staff, including monitoring the correctness of admission of personnel of construction, installation and specialized organizations to work in existing electrical installations and in security zones of power grid facilities.
  4. ensuring repair and maintenance of electrical installations.
  5. monitoring the availability of protective equipment in electrical installations and tools necessary for the operation of electrical installations, carrying out inspections and tests of such protective equipment and tools in accordance with regulatory legal acts establishing reliability and safety requirements in the electric power industry, as well as the Rules.
  6. ensuring the commissioning of power lines, equipment, devices included in electrical installations in accordance with regulatory legal acts establishing reliability and safety requirements in the electric power industry, as well as the Rules.
  7. organizing prompt maintenance of electrical installations and eliminating technological violations in electrical installations.
  8. ensuring compliance checks of executive technological diagrams (drawings), which are a graphical representation of the sequence of the main stages (operations) of the technological process, and electrical connection diagrams with actual operational diagrams and revision (updating) of these diagrams.
  9. ensuring at least once every 2 years monitoring of the values of electrical energy quality indicators caused by the operation of electrical installations, including by taking measurements of such indicators.
  10. ensuring control of compliance with and maintenance of the operating mode of electrical installations and the mode of consumption of electrical energy, including modes of consumption of reactive power, assigned to the consumer in accordance with the contract for the provision of services for the transmission of electrical energy, the contract for the purchase and sale (supply) of electrical energy (power) or energy supply agreement.
  11. ensuring the maintenance of autonomous backup power supplies, installed in accordance with the technical specifications for technological connection to electrical networks, in a state of readiness for use in the event of unscheduled outages, the introduction of emergency restrictions on the mode of electrical energy consumption or the use of emergency automation.

Profile

Background

  • You hold a master degree in engineering ideally with a major in thermal power, electric power or energy supply of enterprises.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant expeerience.
  • You have experience in the service of the chief power engineer of an enterprise / in a generating company / large energy facility (state district power plant, nuclear power plant) in following positions:
    • Head of department in the service of the chief power engineer (energy efficiency / operation of power equipment);
    • Head of the energy-consuming equipment adjustment service;
    • Head of the technical service of the generating company (preferably technical department);
    • Head of technical department at the energy facility.

  • You have good competencies in high voltage and middle voltage installations.
  • You have good leadership and people management skills.
  • Team gathering and management.
  • Supplier engagement and management.
  • Dialogue skills: listening and communication skills.
  • Sense of organization and priorities.
  • Good communication skills in French and English.
